The Student Association for Archaeological Sciences (SAAS) at the University of Georgia is the organization for both graduate and undergraduate students interested in archaeology. SAAS is both a means to enhance and augment a student's archaeological experience in both the field and lab. SAAS is under the Department of Anthropology here at the university, and Dr. Victor Thompson acts as our academic advisor. We work closely with an interdisciplinary group of faculty, staff, and students to further the goals and mission of the Center for Archaeological Sciences. Activities include guest lecturers and speakers, excavation opportunities across the state, attending professional archaeological conferences, and other archaeology-related events (such as aboriginal technology lessons)!
The website will be updated soon, and you may also check out our Facebook page here.
